Celebrating the Creation of Brownfield Family Park ~ Est. October 26, 2025

After the closure of Dunn Memorial Park, the Playground Committee dedicated countless hours to designing a new recreational space that would be inclusive, enjoyable, and built with exceptional craftsmanship. Through extensive research and thoughtful comparisons, their commitment to the community was evident at every stage of the project.

The community was invited to submit name suggestions for the new park.  These submissions were thoughtfully reviewed and voted on by Brownfield’s elected officials, with “Brownfield Family Park” receiving the highest number of votes.

Grand Opening Day was a joyful celebration. Following the ribbon-cutting ceremony, attendees enjoyed a community cookout, with prizes distributed throughout the afternoon. The festivities concluded with a pumpkin carving contest, where ten young participants were awarded gift cards for their spooky, funny, and most original creations.

As a community, we are deeply grateful for the Playground Committee's dedication to this project. Your commitment has made a lasting impact, and we truly appreciate the time, energy, and care you’ve invested.
