Methods of Payment:
The Town office accepts cash, checks, and credit cards. Please note that there is a 2.6% fee for all card transactions. On your card statement, two transactions will appear, one for the transaction to the town and one for the fee, which is from the Government Window.
Returned Check Policy:
Checks that are returned will incur a $30 returned check fee plus a certified mail charge. All tax payments made by a check that is returned will be reversed and will continue to accrue interest.
Personal Checks are not accepted for 30 Day Lien notices; only cash, credit, and bank checks will be accepted.
Returned check payments for registrations and licenses must be paid within 10 days of the date the check is returned from the bank. Failure to do so will result in cancellation of registration or IFW license.
